To assist the leadership of Ambulatory Surgery Centers in improving patient care and safety by implementing initiatives, providing education, and coordinating business and clinical
practices.
Dr. Leopoldo Rodriguez is a board-certified anesthesiologist with extensive leadership experience in ambulatory surgery center operations, anesthesia management, and quality improvement.
He has served in numerous national and international leadership roles, including:
- Member of the General Assembly, International Association for Ambulatory Surgery (IAAS)
- Chair IAAS, Committee on Quality of Care Assessment & Performance Benchmarking
- Past-President, Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia (SAMBA) 2020 - 2021
- Past-Chair, American Society of Anesthesiologists Committee on Ambulatory Surgical Care
- Past-Member, American Society of Anesthesiologists Committee on Performance and Outcome Measures
- Past-President, Florida Society of Anesthesiologists
- Former Assistant National Medical Director of ambulatory Anesthesiology for a large medical group
- Former Medical Director & Chair of Anesthesiology of Multiple Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Independent and Corporate owned.
- Former Regional Medical Director of Anesthesia Operations for a large medical practice
- Former Director of Quality and Performance Improvement for a large medical group
- Former Department of Anesthesiology Chair of a private Community Medical Center
- Former Chair of the Ambulatory Quality Committee for a large medical group
- Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) since 2001, a participant in the ABA Maintenance of Certification Program
